Do I need to burn the Liner to 'burr' the end like Frodin tubing?

No way! the lining is only used at your discretion for protection. Tubeology is carefully machined to leave no sharp edges however if you need to use a liner then simply slip it into conehead then the tube (as it slides in easier this way). The liner can then be used to protect your fishing line.
