Tubeology Leads to More Hook-ups

Tube fishing has significant advantages over traditional lures. This is because of 2 distinct reasons:

Better Hook Positioning

With a tube based lure you can use hook retainer to position the hook at the end of the lure. This means that there is far less chance of tail biting than with a traditional lure. With better hook positioning streamers like zonkers and hair wings can have the hook positioned right at the tail end of the lure.

Better Hook Usage

With a Tubeology tube based lure you can use any hook you like, however key is that you do not need to use a large hook that puts fish off attacking a lure, indeed with a hair wing or zonker type lure you can use a smaller more discrete hook.

Rapidly Adjust to Changing Conditions

A Tube Fly, Spinner or Flying C is a fixed system. This means that if you fish a deeper pool you will need to swap weight of the lure to get deeper. Alternatively if light conditions change or the water "colours up" then you must again swap your lure. It is well known that fluorescent orange shows up better in coloured peaty water for example. So you will need to take traditional fixed lures in each colour you wish to try, that is the old fashioned way! With Tubeology you simply swap coneheads, with 9 weights, 6 sizes and 6 colours you can immediately get 54 variations of the same lure simply swapping the conehead, done at the waters edge in seconds. It takes four turns to remove any head from any lure and then swap it to a different colour.

Simplify Tackle

With Tubeology you keep your lures separate from the hooks, this means less spaghetti tangles of lures. You can swap from double hooks to barbless, singles or trebles as conditions and local rules dictate without replacing your tackle box and every lure in it. With your hooks kept in a seperate box from the lures you can be assured that they do not get damaged in transit and last longer. Finally you can purchase and use less tube based lures but get far more variation of patterns because of Tubeology's modular system.

Greater Number of Fish Landed

Because a fish cannot lever against the lure or large shanked hook there is more chance of landing the fish. For example you can use smaller size 12 double hooks in preference to a large size 4 salmon hook. Because only the hook stays in the fishes mouth and the tube based lure slides away then you are more likely to catch more fish.

Tubeology Replicates Bait Fish Better Than Hook Tied Systems

Because Tubeology is based on a tube you can replicate baitfish more naturally. Traditional hook based lures mean that typically larger hooks are needed if you are trying to  imitate larger baitfish. These large 'butcher' hooks are difficult to cast and stop the natural movement of the lures with their long shanks and heavy weight. Finally a large hook bend does not look natural, check out the snake fly below to see the long streamlined look of a Tubeology tube fly.

Using Tubeology a lure looks far more streamlined like a traditional baitfish for predatory species.
